Before it gets to the crazy festive season - Xmas Planning for many retail businesses is happening for months.

For a Pork Producer - it starts back in about March!

We need to make sure we have enough matings in March - so the pigs are born and grown out to be ready for pork!

We also start freeze Legs in around April/May - so we can make sure we have enough to make Xmas Hams for you to buy

(Yes - its’s ok to freeze them as pork, then we defrost them, cure them, smoke (cook) them - so it’s safe to eat (and even freeze the ham if you have spare!!)

XMAS HAMS!

  • Not all Hams are created equal...

    We offer Ham ON THE BONE - in Halves & Full Legs

    Ham - is ready to EAT - it has been Pickled (or cured) with our own recipe of herb & spices and Smoked…

    You don’t need to do anything - besides refrigerate until opening and then open, carve & eat

    OR if you like the flair of the festive season - our Hams are perfect for Glazing - the beautiful fat layer… the caramelisation (oh…heaven!) 

    SIZES - HOW BIG ARE OUR HAMS?

    Well it all goes back to how big were our pigs….  in a Free-Range situation and with Old Breeds - none of our pigs are the same!!  So our LEGS are all different…


  • WHAT TYPE OF CURES?

    Traditional 

    Contains a small amount of synthetic nitrates to help with the color & shelf-life - which some prefer with such a large piece of ham or want it too last for a couple of weeks

    Naturally-Cured

    Contains only NATURAL nitrates from vegetable extracts (No Numbers, No Nasties)

    BUT you do have to accept there could be some less than pink patches, it will oxidize like a glass of wine - so it will change once opened - some discoloration and you really need to open it, enjoy it at its best and consume within 7-10 days.

The PRICING is fair to all - we charge you for the exact weight of the Ham and/or Roast Pork….

The BALANCE REMAINING is paid at pick up (or an Invoice & Payment required prior to delivery)

We can’t delivery everywhere, but we utilize another freight company to help us out  - the list of the Postcodes is extensive (so hopefully you can find what you need

FAQs

Are the products - Gluten-Free?

Yes the Hams & Pork - are free of

  • Gluten

  • Nuts

  • Dairy

But none of this is certified - but in the facility & the ingredients none of the above are used.

Where do you deliver to?

Logistics has been the hardest part of what we do - we require Refrigerated Transport …. so we can’t just pop your delivery in the post!

We utilize another Refrigerated Transport company - especially at Xmas

This is why we have the Standard Fee of $35

Can I choose my Ham &/or Pork ?

YES - if you visit us - that is easy for us to show you a selection and then you can make a choice. We then take the Price & deduct your Deposit.

If you select DELIVERY - this is a little harder. So write us a Note on the Order (Message in the Check-out) - so that will help us make a selection for you.

Eg. Ham Half - I would like the Hock End

Porchetta, Large - I would like the smaller size of the large OR give me the biggest you have!

Can we Change or Cancel our Xmas Order?

The deposit is refundable is the Order is Cancelled via email by the Friday 6th December COB - email to orders@mcivorfarmfoods.com.au

*After this date - the deposit is non-refundable

CHANGES TO ORDERS

This may incur an admin fee of $15 - believe me we try to be reasonable to people circumstances, but when lots of changes occur we spend a lot of time.
